    You are being contacted to let you know about the bi-annual reunion being held for Hotel Company, September 14th-19th, 2009, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Bill and Cristy Hancock will be your hosts!! (Bring the family. We want all of our reunions to be a family event!!!!). It is for all Marines and Corpsmen who served with Hotel Co. in Viet Nam. We have a block of rooms listed below that will be held for our exclusive use until August 17, 2009.  After this date the unused portion of our block will be released and reservations will be based upon availability and at full rate plus any surcharges and minimum night stay requirements.

(Weekend rates are for Friday and Saturday)

 

Add $8.00 per adult per night for a third and fourth adult in the room or suite.  A maximum of four (4) adults are permitted in any room or suite.

 

All rates are subject to South Carolina State and local taxes, currently 12.0%.

 

All rooms and suites are subject to a $3.50 per night resort fee.  This fee is subject to tax, currently 8.0%.

 

 

 

Amenities—large indoor pool complex featuring five indoor whirlpools, kiddies’ pools and lazy river ride.  Large oceanfront pool and whirlpool.  Outdoor lazy river ride, water park, nine-hole mini-golf,  sauna , guest laundry, game room, small exercise room,  public transportation to all of the major shopping areas in Myrtle Beach, free wireless internet, restaurant and lounge, poolside snack bar, enclosed crosswalk to 8-story parking garage (complimentary parking).

 

Airport Transportation:  The hotel is located approximately one mile from the Myrtle Beach International Airport.  Transportation to and from this airport is provided on a complimentary basis.

 

We have a very large hospitality room reserved on the 1st floor with outside access.  The hotel will provide containers to ice down beverages and the ice.  We are allowed to bring dry snacks in.

Please reserve your rooms as early as possible. Rooms can be secured by credit card/cash requiring the first night deposit of room and tax. Any individual canceling his/her own reservation must cancel at least three days prior to the day ot arrival to receive a refund.  In each instance of cancellation, there is a $25.00 admin. Fee charged.

The following activities being planned:

 

A Memorial Service on Thursday, September 17, 2009—to be held at the Hotel

 

A dinner is planned on the evening of Friday, September 18, 2009—to be held at the Hotel.  (prices to be sent at a later date)

 

Tentative activities depending on interest:

 

Graduation ceremony at Parris Island, Friday, September 18 at 9:00 a.m. approximately a four hour drive from Myrtle Beach—contact Ron Marmon if interested 513-829-5396.

 

Carolina Opry Theater—“Good Vibrations”-- 90 minute musical tour of the greatest hits from the 60’s, 70’s & 80’s.  Group ticket prices available if enough interest.

 

We also will be ordering Hotel Company shirts again.  Color/prices at later date.

 

There are plenty of things to do in Myrtle Beach, so pack those beach bags and let’s have some fun.  We’ll leave the rest of the time for reacquainting with old friends and making new ones!
